Manufacturer: LLOYD LABORATORIES, INC. / Contents: 28 tablets

Product Description

This female hormone is effective in treating menopausal symptoms caused by estrogen deficiency, irregular menstruation, and hormone replacement therapy. Female hormones include estrogen (the follicle hormone) and progesterone (the luteal hormone), but the active ingredient in ETINILA, ethinyl estradiol, is an estrogen.

Ethinylestradiol, an orally effective estrogen, acts on the hypothalamus in the brain to suppress ovulation. It also reduces prostate and seminal vesicle weights and lowers blood testosterone levels, thereby treating prostate cancer.

How to use

For prostate cancer and breast cancer, the usual dose is 0.5 to 1 mg of ethinyl estradiol administered orally three times a day. However, this may be increased or decreased depending on age and symptoms.
The dosage and administration method based on the results of the reevaluation of the active ingredient is as follows: for prostate cancer and breast cancer, the usual adult dose is 0.05 to 1.0 mg of ethinyl estradiol, administered orally three times a day.
